A planned leadership transition
MB Shipbrokers has announced a planned leadership transition and expansion of its Executive Board, effective 1 January 2027.
Claes Devantier, currently Deputy CEO, will succeed Anders Hald as CEO of MB Shipbrokers. At the same time, Anders Hald will assume the role of Chairman of the Board while remaining commercially active and closely involved with the business.
As part of the new leadership structure, Claus Plougmand, remaining in Singapore, will be appointed Deputy CEO.
These changes form part of a planned transition designed to rejuvenate and strengthen MB Shipbrokers' leadership team while creating opportunities for the next generation of leaders. At the same time, they ensure continuity across the business and position the company for continued growth and success for the benefit of its clients, employees, and other stakeholders.
In addition, the Executive Board will be expanded with four new members representing key areas of MB Shipbrokers' global business. The new members each bring extensive industry expertise, strong commercial leadership, and longstanding careers with the company. Together, they represent deep knowledge across MB Shipbrokers' core business segments and maintain many of the company's most important client relationships.
From 1 January 2027, the Executive Board will consist of:
- Claes Devantier – CEO
- Claus Plougmand – Deputy CEO
- Henrik Franck – COO
- Anne Brown Pade – CFO
- Adam Joshua Phillips – Senior Vice President, Global Head of Bulk Carriers and Tankers S&P
- Bjarne Wium-Ullerichs – Senior Vice President, Global Head of Bulk Chartering
- Kasper Holm-Hemmingsen – Senior Vice President, Global Head of Container S&P and Valuations
- Lars Schiønnemann – Senior Vice President, Global Head of Newbuilding
The expanded Executive Board will provide broader representation across MB Shipbrokers' global activities while further enhancing the company's leadership structure. These appointments ensure continuity, strengthen the management team, and position MB Shipbrokers for continued success in the years ahead.
