MB Shipbrokers hold a history of being commercially active for more than 100 years and are strongly committed to conduct our business in a responsible and lawful manner with respect for the wider economic, social and environmental impacts of our activities. This has always been integral to the way we do business, and we strive to promote the same principles in our relationships with customers, suppliers and other business partners. The MB Shipbrokers Sustainability and Code of Conduct Policy commits us to high standards on Health & Safety, Environmental, Human & Labour Rights, Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics.
Health & Safety
The health & safety of the employees working under our control and supervision is a top priority, governed by international regulations and our own applied policies.
Environment
MB Shipbrokers are committed to the protection and conservation of the environment and place a high priority on environmental considerations in managing our business.
Human & Labour Rights
MB Shipbrokers respect international recognised human rights and work to ensure that we do not contribute to human rights violations as a result of our global business activities. As a trusted employer, we will ensure that all our employees are treated in a manner consistent with applicable laws and labour conventions.
MB Shipbrokers do not employ under-age workers nor do we accept such by any of our suppliers. We do not use forced, bonded, indentured, or involuntary prison labour in any form.
Anti-Corruption
Our policy demand that no employee – whether directly or through third parties – are to engage in any form of corrupt practice, including bribery, extortion and fraud as defined by applicable bribery and anticorruption laws. No employee shall offer and/or give anything of value, directly or indirectly, to any person, agent or employee of any client for the illegitimate benefit of themselves, their relatives, friends or associates and/or MB Shipbrokers.
Business Ethics
Since founded in 1914 by Mr. A.P. Møller as a small, independent Danish shipbroking operation, we have come a long way in terms of business volume and global reach but decency and integrity have always been at heart. Our business culture and values, established by Mr. A.P. Møller and reaffirmed by his son, Mr. Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller, of high standards of morals and ethics have always prevailed and will continue to do so.
